Advancing Ohio's English Learners (AOEL)
The Advancing Ohio's English Learners (AOEL) project is a visionary initiative designed to create a comprehensive support system for English learners and their families affected by the global coronavirus pandemic. While the need for such support existed before the pandemic, the crisis significantly intensified existing challenges, widening the academic achievement gap between English learners and their peers. This project aims to address these educational setbacks by providing essential resources and support to district and school personnel, with a focus on mitigating the impact of pre-existing inequalities.
As a senior learning designer, I work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver content across various multimedia formats—including graphics, animations, and live-action videos—utilizing diverse learning technologies (e.g., AI) to ensure that our support is engaging and accessible to English learners and their families.
